50 years together

Since the day we got married
A man walked on the moon, all by himself
But we took our giant leaps together
Watched with joy as our babies entered the world
and grew up before our eyes
Felt the grief when our parents passed away
We’ve seen many an autumn and winter
Been through the tragedies together
But the tiniest triumphs kept us going
For ever winter endured there was a summer
Where the flowers bloomed
But even if they didn't it didn't matter
Because we were together
50 years of ups and downs
50 years of love no matter what
It hasn’t always been easy has it?
But it’s been worth every second
The man can have his moon
We have each other
We have together
